The purpose of the FSC Kids Academy is to create a passion for the game of soccer, providing a basic introduction of skills required to play the game, and create 4v4 teams for the Select program.
Our goal is to create a U8 4v4 girls team and U8 4v4 boys team that will consist of 6 players on each gender's roster. These teams will play in an introductory league facilitated by the MYSL (Michigan Youth Soccer League)
During the Kids Academy session games, we will group the boys and girls by age to help identify the teams that will play in the 4v4 the following Fall. From week to week your child may play with different children this is to enhance their development and will be done for the benefit of the child only. During the season we may ask if your son or daughter would like to play with one of our select teams, there is no additional cost to you, however, it is an opportunity to experience playing in a more competitive environment and see what Select soccer is about.
We are always looking for parent volunteers to coach our 4v4 teams and provide the training for our coaches. During the Academy program, it is a great time to learn and develop the tools to Coach the 4v4 teams. We believe that vested parents will always be the most committed to the success of their children.
